You’ll master safe work practices, schematic reading, component-level diagnostics, soldering/rework, power electronics basics, microcontroller-based boards, and a professional repair workflow from intake to quality assurance.

No prior repair experience required

Week 3 — Analog Fundamentals
Ohm’s law, dividers, filters, op-amps (buffers, gain, filters), audio stages.
Lab: Trace an analog signal path; repair a simple pre-amp/power-amp fault.
Week 4 — Digital & MCU Boards
Logic families, regulators (linear vs buck), clock/reset, common ICs.
Intro to microcontrollers, headers (UART/I²C/SPI), boot modes.
Lab: Diagnose a no-boot MCU board; read logs over UART; replace a regulator.
Week 5 — Power Electronics & SMPS
Mains input, rectification, PFC, primary/secondary, feedback/optocouplers.
Common failures: startup resistors, primary MOSFETs, snubbers, secondary shorts.
Lab: Isolated SMPS troubleshooting with lamp-limiter; replace primary parts safely.
Week 6 — Soldering, SMD & Rework
Through-hole vs SMD packages, thermal management, pad repair, connector swaps.
Lab: Hot-air profiles; replace an SMD IC; repair lifted pads and torn traces (jumper wires).
Week 7 — Case Studies: TV/Monitor, UPS/Inverter, Appliance Control Boards

Lab: Diagnose one full device (no-power/no-display), document, and quote.
Week 8 — Quality Control, Documentation & Business
